Accessibility Statement

Partially conformant, work in progress

Scope

This statement covers the public pages of jag-aerospace.de: the company site, the JAG Atlas product pages, and the legal pages. It does not cover the Employee Workspace, which requires a login, or the standalone JAG Atlas application files, which are evaluated separately as they mature.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 define three levels of conformance: A, AA, and AAA. This site targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the level referenced by the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and its implementing German law (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG).

This site is partially conformant. Partially conformant means some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the standard. As a demonstration project built and revised by a small team, accessibility is treated as ongoing work rather than a one-time checklist.

What's already in place

Semantic HTML headings and landmark structure throughout
Visible keyboard focus states on every interactive element
Text that reflows and resizes without loss of content or function
Color is never the only signal: status is always paired with text or an icon
Motion is reduced or removed automatically for visitors who request it at the system level
Alt text on every meaningful image, including the real application screenshots

Known limitations

Areas we know still need work, and are actively improving:

Some decorative animated elements (the starfield background, scroll-reveal transitions) have not yet been independently audited against WCAG 2.1 success criteria beyond the reduced-motion handling above
Color contrast has not been formally verified against every background/foreground combination on every page
A full screen-reader pass across all pages is planned but not yet complete

This statement was prepared based on a self-assessment of the site against WCAG 2.1 Level AA, not a third-party audit. It will be reviewed and updated as the site changes.
